Advising Schedules for Summer 2008 by appointment.
Registration
Your registration date is based on the number of credits you have completed. You can determine the date you are eligible to register by logging onto your student account.
For future registration schedule and information go to Priority Registration Schedule.
How do I get into a closed course that I need?
If you cannot get into a course you need, contact the department offering the course. The location of departments can be found in the OSU Catalog or by viewing the departments online. Wait listing is available during Phase 2 of registration.
Where do I get my PIN?
New PINs (personal identification numbers) are given out each spring for Fall term registration. Your PIN is good for the next year (Fall, Winter, Spring).
You must make an appointment with your advisor to get your PIN.
The Registrar and the Microbiology office will not give you your PIN before the first day of classes in the fall or if you have not registered at OSU. You need to meet with an advisor at least once a year!
You will need your PIN for the first time that you register for classes each year. After your initial registration, the system will not require you to enter your PIN to make changes or to register for Winter, Spring, or Summer, unless you are a student athlete or registered with Services for Students with Disabilities.
Important Information: Academic regulations can be found in the Registration Information Handbook and give conditions for dropping or withdrawing for course, S/U regulations, incompletes, etc. A must read for all students.
Graduating
Students should complete an "Application for Bachelor's Degree" at the Office of the Registrar at least two (2) terms prior to their expected graduation date.
After you have applied for graduation, an audit will be generated that will tell you if you have met the UNIVERSITY requirements at OSU. Those requirements include:
- 180 credits (This will be different for double degree students)
- 60 upper division credits (300-400)
- 24 of the 60 upper division credits must be in the College of Science
- 45 of your last 75 credits at OSU
You can view your audit of the above requirements online by going into Student Online Services and viewing your Degree Evaluation.
To find out if you have met DEPARTMENTAL requirements, you must meet with your advisor and make sure that all of your courses have been checked off on your checklist.
