The Department of Microbiology has a number of scholarships specifically for their students. The application form is available online (Word document).

Scholarships
Applications are taken from students who have been declared Microbiology majors for at least two terms. Typical scholarship awards are $400-$2000.
T.R. and Martha S. Aspitarte Scholarship: To a undergraduate students in Environmental Microbiology.
P. R. Elliker: To outstanding juniors or seniors in Microbiology.
Eleanor G. Ford Memorial Scholarship: To juniors majoring in Microbiology demonstrating potential for careers in Public Health Microbiology.
Helen Alford Hays Women in Microbiology Scholarship: For undergraduate Microbiology majors with satisfactory academic standing; women given first consideration. Minimum GPA is 3.0.
Donald & Barbara Gamberg Overholser Scholarship: To outstanding junior students majoring in Microbiology, to be chosen by the scholarship committee with recommendations from advisors, instructors, and faculty.
Mark H. Middlekauf Scholarship: To outstanding junior or senior Microbiology majors who are also performing undergraduate research projects.
Joseph E. Simmons Memorial Scholarship: To worthy and promising undergraduate students in microbiology. Established by the widow and friends of the late Professor Joseph E. Simmons, formerly Head of the Department of Microbiology.
Kathryn Tinnesand Memorial Scholarship: To a juniors or seniors majoring in Microbiology with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipient shall be participating in undergraduate research at the University and demonstrate promise and enthusiasm for research in science. Established by the family and friends of former OSU Department of Microbiology undergraduate and graduate student, Katy Tinnesand, who died tragically in a climbing accident.
