Congratulations to Shawn Massoni on his promotion to Senior Instructor in Microbiology!

Shawn Massoni joined the Microbiology Department as an Instructor after being a Visiting Professor at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, where he also completed a postdoc fellowship after receiving his PhD in Microbiology at UMass Amherst in 2013.  He brings his passion for all things bacteriology to students in both on-campus and Ecampus modalities.  Shawn strives to develop inclusive learning communities where scientific rigor meets students where they are in the learning process, and takes an active role in diversity initiatives around and outside of campus.
