Microbiology Graduate Student Quinn Washburn has created an amazingly fun microbiology board game.  It was developed in conjunction with the Science Math Investigative Learning Experience (SMILE) Program.  The game can be used to each microbial ecology of the oceans and the movement of biomass.  There are two verisons, Oligotrophic:  the full game for upper level middle school students to hobby gamers and Tiny Oligotrophic:  A simplified version for younger audiences and more casual players.  All files are freely available online at Board Game Geek.
